About Collective of Color Omaha
Bridging the gap between culturally-responsive care and the communities that need it most.
Collective of Color Omaha was created out of a shared need within both the community and the clinicians who serve it. Many people searching for mental health support want to find a therapist who understands their cultural background, values, and lived experiences. At the same time, clinicians of color in Omaha expressed the importance of being visible, accessible, and connected to one another in meaningful ways.
This directory was designed to bridge those needs — to make it easier for individuals, couples, and families to find culturally relevant care and for clinicians of color to connect, collaborate, and support one another.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a centralized space that reflects the diversity and richness of Omaha's mental health community. We believe representation matters. When clients see therapists who look like them, speak their language, and understand their stories, healing feels safer and more authentic.
Beyond visibility, Collective of Color Omaha exists to foster a professional community. We aim to build relationships among clinicians of color, encourage collaboration, share resources, and strengthen the collective capacity to serve our communities with compassion and cultural understanding.
Whether you are a clinician seeking connection or a community member searching for support, this space was built with you in mind. Together, we can make mental health care more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the communities we call home.
